Ah, I feel a lot better! Amazing how simply resting will improve your health.

Things have been very quiet, but at least Hana-san is around now, so the room doesn't seem too lonely. It seems like we'll get along well as roommates; we have yet to get into an argument, which I take as a good sign. ♥

[OOC: Back from vacation!]

Mm, I'm not feeling very well ... resting should help, I suppose, but it's so difficult to rest sometimes, mm? I'll just have to make sure to drink plenty of fluids and get enough sleep! ♥

The assignment for Kurenai-sensei is finished (I'm surprised we haven't been asked to turn it in yet), I believe I'm done arranging my things in the dorm room, and I've written my family to let them know I'm doing well, though I didn't mention my getting sick - no need to worry them, after all.. Everything's settled, I should be able to rest ... in theory ...

[OOC: No, I am not using Mikoto's sickness to excuse my not being around so much, why do you ask? *shifty eyes*]

Ah - I'm afraid I've been terribly busy. I've been practicing my harp playing, settling into my dorm, and have been working on various school assignments ... the beginning of the year really can be quite stressful if you throw yourself into things, mm?

Maybe I should get out more, I've been working myself to death ... it wouldn't due to get sick just after I told Rin-sensei my health was improving.

One more thing to do before I'll let myself rest, perhaps ...? Mm ...

We got our first asignment from Kurenai-sensei: an eight measure composition. I've already began working on mine, though I wonder if it's too simple. I've tried to incoorperate some of the elements I know about music into it, as Kurenai-sensei requested, but I still wonder if I should try to make it at least a bit more complex ... Mm, at least I have time.

Ah, it seems like classes haven't started. Things certainly are quiet without having to hussle around to get to classes, but somehow, no less busy. I'm afraid that I got a bit carried away unpacking and practicing these last few days. The new music books I bought proved to be very challenging! ♥

I got a letter from Mother; things at home are apparently going well, I'm happy to hear. I always worry that Mother will get too busy if I'm not there to help her out, even though I know she'll be fine.

Ah, so I believe I'm rooming with Hana-san? I've never roomed with her before, it should be interesting. She's always seemed pleasant enough!

How odd, though, that I'm one of the few seniors who isn't assigned a room with a younger student. Oh well, some things can't be helped, I guess.
